As an adult, knowing where to start may be your biggest hurdle to going to college – especially if it's been several years since you've been in school. Follow these steps to get on the right track.

Determine what to study

Selecting a field of study requires a great deal of consideration. What are your skills and interests? What do you enjoy doing? Ask your college about career assessment tools they offer.

Think again. A head count of undergraduate students in Nebraska shows that 12.4% are between 25 and 29 years old, and 21.5% are over age 30.
