EducationQuest Foundation has selected six Nebraska high school guidance counselors to receive its 2008 Guidance Counselor Enrichment Scholarship.
Congratulations to: Sara Barker, Falls City High School; Rhonda Collins, Norfolk Senior High School; Jan Frayser, Pius X High School; Mary Janata, West Point-Beemer High School; Barbara Malhiwsky, Omaha South High School; and Becky O'Malley, Yutan High School.
The scholarships will fund their attendance at upcoming college and career-planning conferences.
Janata and O'Malley will attend the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACAC) Conference April 1-3, 2008 in Overland Park, KS.
Barker and Frayser will attend the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Conference September 25-27, 2008 in Seattle, WA.
Collins and Malhiwksy will attend the Careers Conference in early 2009 in Madison, WI.
Each recipient's school will also receive $1,000 to implement college access programs or purchase college prep materials.
