EducationQuest Foundation

Symposium will help schools increase their college-going rate

Nebraska high school guidance counselors will learn about ways they can help more students go to college when they attend the EducationQuest Foundation College Access Symposium April 3 in Lincoln.

The Symposium will provide "best practices" based on the KnowHow2GO College Access Campaign that schools can implement to increase their college-going rate. Participants will also learn how their school might qualify for a share of $800,000 in College Access Grant funds that EducationQuest will award later this spring.

The event will also feature Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman who will talk about the importance of increasing the state's college-going rate, and Dr. Ann Coles, Senior Advisor of College Access Programs for The Education Resources Institute in Boston, Mass. who will discuss "Supporting College Aspirations: What Matters Most."
